SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment, namely, to calibration of laser calipers, built according to the method of laser triangulation, in which beams of radiation are directed from two sides perpendicularly to the controlled surface, and the received optical signal is fixed by a multi-element receiver. The laser caliper is additionally equipped with a calibrating accessory. The calibrating accessory is rigidly fixed by a pinned helical connection on the caliper body, providing for perpendicularity of beams of laser radiation to the plane of reference location, and comprises a control circuit board, a linear step motor for movement of the reference tet, fixed in the zone of measurement on the common foundation with photoelectric modules. During calibration the reference - tet discretely moves to the other border of the measurement zone, and for each position of the reference tet they measure distances R1i, R2i from photoelectric modules to each side of the reference tet. They determine numbers of elements n1i, n2i on multi-element photodetectors corresponding to these distances, and then they determine angular coefficients k1, k2 and coefficients of displacement b1, b2, of calibration lines for each photoelectric module, using the least squares method.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurement under impact of vibration, variation of environmental temperature, corrugation and bending of objects.
