The article considers the potential for the development of ski resorts in the Russian Federation. Through a comparative analysis of ski resorts identified and evaluated the factors influencing the attractiveness of ski resorts. Based on the studied factors, a classification of the ski resorts by class level (A, B, C) was developed. According to the proposed methodology, the classification of ski resorts in Russia was carried out. It is concluded about the importance of classification of ski resorts for the development of territories.
