The paper deals with questions of development and use of different shotgun oil that are connected with the rate of formation of carbon on different types of guns, with its composition and with the ability of shotgun oils to remove the carbon on the parts of guns. It is shown that there is a considerable amount of copper in the soot which causes copper plating of the gun barrels and required not only protection from the corrosion of the small arms but also the soot Removal at the level of the foreign analogues. Washing-dispersing additives intensify the effect of cleaning, but special cleaning compositions provide more intensive decarbonization.
