The article addresses the issues of reading facial expressions. The author presents the results of an experimental research which aim was to find out how accurately males and females read emotions. Furthermore, photographs for the experiment were selected by taking the gender factor into account as well: the research subjects were shown photographs of people of different genders. Practical importance of studies in the sphere of reading facial expressions is emphasized.
