The specifics of the sociological approach to the study of health problems is revealed. In the framework of anthropocentric paradigm and integrative approach the problems of formation of the valueology and physical culture of personality are considered. The interconnection and interdependence between individual and social health are shown, as well as the importance of sociology-cultural factor of health is highlighted with the latter showing traditions, norms, values, customs and social and cultural practices.
