Since Ukraine has become independent the number of universities increased by almost six times, however the quality of education has declined. People receive diplomas of higher education, but do not receive good education. The previous government of Ukraine conducted the ill-considered reforms, and the level of science and education fell. Current Ukrainian government wants to eliminate the negative phenomena in the system of education, but the crisis in the Ukrainian economy precludes this, not allowing to increase the budget for financing the universities and scientific institutions.
