A problem of Al strip crystal structure forming in the roll crystallizer is considered. The metallographic methods are used in research of the 8011, 8006 aluminum alloys of Al-Fe-Si-Mn system. Crystal structure forming process in the active zone of the roll crystallizer is studied to improve the foil quality in without ingot rolling. It is noted that the distinct narrow crystallization interval takes place for each alloy, which dictates the technological parameters of combined casting and rolling.
