The halide-substituted double perovskites Ba2CaNbO5.48X0.05 (X=F, Cl) were obtained, the crystalline structure have been investigated. The introduction of fluoride ions has led to a decrease of cell parameter, and the introduction of chlorine ions has led to an increase of this parameter. The analysis of the local structure using Raman spectroscopy is performed. It is shown that the positions in the niobium polyhedra with a reduced coordination number are the most preferable for the localization of halide ions.
