FIELD: physics. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of cast composite material with aluminium matrix reinforced with plate inclusions of aluminium oxide. Method includes saturation of melt with hydrogen with further blowing in interval 1–3 hours of melt with gaseous oxygen at volume flow rate of 0.06–1 m3/h under the slag layer formed on the melt mirror, which is removed after blowing and the obtained melt is poured into the mould. Saturation of the melt with hydrogen is carried out by adding titanium (II) hydride to the melt, wherein the melt is blown with gaseous oxygen to form melt-modifying titanium (IV) particles. EFFECT: improved mechanical properties.
