The analysis of the social time dynamics in the history of sociology has been provided. The statement of a question has been considered, main features of analysis of the social time dynamics have been identified in the framework of classical (A. Comte, K. Marx, E. Durkheim), neoclassical (P.Sorokin), post-classical (I. Wallerstein), post-non-classical (A. Giddens, J. Urry) periods and sociology of postmodernism (Z. Bauman). The notion of dynamics of the social time is treated as a theoretical construct,enabling the study of the temporal characteristics of social change — speed, direction, rhythm and stage of development and expectancy.
