This article continues our previous article “Treaty on Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and the Perspectives of French Nuclear Zero”. Earlier we examined the nuclear deterrence of the French current administration. The adoption of the Treaty on Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons by the UN General Assembly provoked heated debates in the world. The Nuclear states criticized the Treaty. Despite the growing popularity of nonnuclear movement in France President Macron's administration is committed to the modernization of the French nuclear forces. In the article we explain the impossibility of abolishing nuclear weaponry by France due to the set of internal and external factors.
