The article discusses the main risks the coal industry and a qualitative evaluation. The evaluation was built risk profile and assigned grades, depending on the degree of impact of risks on the coal business. It was found that the highest rank have a currency, commodity, price and political risks, which need to pay special attention to the development of risk management policy at the enterprises of the coal industry.
