In the presented article approaches of modern Ukrainian historiography to interpretation of a theme of reunion of Ukraine with Russia in XVII century are considered. It is shown, that in a significant part these approaches mismatch character of real attitudes of Ukraine-Smallrussia with the Moscow Empire.
