SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes deforming unit with die sets of setting and finish transitions, assembly for fixing blank, upsetting unit, mechanism for pointing and separating articles. The last is in the form of cut-off strikers provided with motion drive unit. Deforming unit is in the form of two sectors that may perform synchronous reversing rotation and movable cross pieces that may perform reciprocation motion. Cross pieces are kinematically connected with sectors and with assembly for fixing blank. The last is in the form of die halves joined by means of tie rods rotary eccentric shaft. Cut-off strikers of mechanism for pointing and separating articles are kinematically joined with eccentric shaft. Sectors of deforming unit are provided with mechanism for changing die sets of setting and finish transitions. EFFECT: improved design due to lowered mass of moving parts and reduced energy for overcoming inertia forces. 5 cl, 4 dwg.
