Culture is a problem of social science methodology. She has many dimensions. The first is related to the use of this concept in different historical contexts and different types of society. The second is due to the division of labor between the disciplines of social science, with the contradictions of social and humanitarian research. The second, of course, depends on the typology of social evolution adopted. In the world of everyday life, simplified interpretations of culture are used, they are included in the language of journalism and politics. These aspects of culture are necessary when considering its multidimensionality. The task of the methodology is to separate these approaches and interpretations historically and by type of research. Then it becomes possible to determine the context in which actual interpretations of culture come to the fore. From the point of view of methodology, it is important to show how the historical process changes the functions of culture and their relationship. The logic of culture is revealed not in its definitions, but in the understanding of accents in its application and its study.
