The dialectical history of consciousness is the study of the formation of the concept of practical self-consciousness in Hegel’s “Phenomenology of Mind”. The formation of self-consciousness passes through three stages. The first stage shows the formal unity of self-consciousness. The second stage describes the inherent movement of selfconsciousness itself. The third stage establishes a relationship of self-consciousness to other self-consciousness.
