FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: vibration-free machining on metal-cutting machines. The cutoff blade for turning consists of a head in the form of a plate with a cutting element and a holder with a built-in vibration damper, cylindrical in shape in the form of two coaxial bellows filled with liquid, between which a load is placed. The axis of the vibration damper is parallel to the line of intersection of the main plane of the cutter and the plane of the head. The head includes a pusher parallel to the axis of the vibration damper. The head of the cutter is made with a transverse groove open to its side surfaces. The pusher is configured for interaction with the side surface of the groove. The vibration damper is equipped with an electrically controlled fluid pressure regulator, the outlet of which is connected to the bellows cavities. The fluid pressure in the bellows and the rigidity of the workpiece are controlled by calculation units and setters. EFFECT: expanding the range of vibration-free cutting, reducing the roughness of the machined surface and increasing tool life. 1 cl, 1 dwg.
